50 Years Old

1963.06.22 - Birth Date
On Saturday, June 22nd, 2013 we celebrated Dennis' 50th at Oaks Park. Just a small family and Hoopfest friends party. Dennis didn't want anything, so this was a compromise. Happy birthday - only a little late on the interwebs.

Summer of Ashe & Finn 2012

Our summer was fun-filled. Crazy. We were going all the time. It was just what kids enjoy and so did I. We have a good life.

Color Run/Seattle...Activities Galore.

Update. A quick summary of what we've been doing. We have had so much going on...it's been a lot of fun though.

  a) Ashe turns 13!! Spring Break, Oregon Coast & Hyatt Portland

--March 2012 - The four of us spent Spring Break in Newport...went to the Yaquina Head Lighthouse.

--For Ashe's 13th birthday, we also spent the beginning of Spring break at a hotel, because the boys love them. Ashe invited a couple of friends to go to a Blazer game as his birthday celebration.

  b) Cirque Du Soleil, Ovo

--April 20, 2012 - Janice, Finn, Ashe, Cade, and Tucker saw Ovo from the front row! We stayed at the Residence Inn, Marriott at Jantzen Beach & just walked over to the show. Tons of fun! I'm now known as the "Fun Aunt". I love it!

--Ashe & Finn ran for the school's fund-raising program.

--Finn was so freaking darling being Harvey Scott (historical Portland figure) and challenging the fact that women should have a public education. He did great!!

  e) Easter in Dayton, OR with Caver's In-laws

--We had an Easter Egg Hunt out in Dayton, Oregon with Caver's in-laws, Pam & Randy. We adore them. Sean was there but Dennis was working. Ashe & Finn loved hanging out there for a real egg hunt on a decent amount of land...

  f) Color Run in Seattle, WA - Mother's Day May 13, 2012

By far one of the most fun events I've ever participated in with the kids. It's a 5K run where they throw different colors of (powdered) paint on you at each kilometer. A boy's dream. A ton of fun. Great bonding for Ashe, Finn, and I on Mother's Day. One of my best Mother's Days ever.

The boys loved the Space Needle. They walked around. We hung up there for hours. We went back the following day. It was such a change from the last time we were there.
